(More customer reviews)I fell in love with this at first sight -- it resonates with my rather odd sense of humor, I guess.I decided to take a chance on it -- I needed a set of decent knives for my "home away from home," and after reading the reviews, I ordered.

It's very sturdy -- heavy plastic, it arrives in two pieces, and it takes only seconds to mount the figure onto the base.

The knives are very good quality, nicely weighted stainless steel.The "block" has heavy clear plastic sleeves in back to protect both the knives and the user, and the knives are secured in place with hidden magnets that "grab" each knife as it is slipped in place -- nice safety feature.

This is a fairly large unit -- 14+" tall, about 8-9" in diameter.I purchased the white one, to work with the rest of my counter-top appliances, but it comes in several other colors (red, green, black, chrome).

This would be a great housewarming gift for a divorced friend.
