(More customer reviews)This knife block is really sharp! We like all things modern so when we went looking for a knife block we found Bodum. What a great surprise to find that not only did it have the modern look we like but in a color that goes with our kitchen decor of lime green and navy blue. We chose the lime green as an accent for the navy blue chairs and it looks really great. Two things of note are: the lime green is not as bright as it appeared on our monitor and the actual knife block color was a shade off from the toaster which we also purchased in lime green. However, since they're not real close to each other the shade difference does not stand out and so, all things considered, I'm happy to have them since it is nearly impossible to find a modern appliance that look this good in a color of my choosing. As for the knife block itself, it is really quite innovative with it's easy to remove and easy to clean broom straw knife holder cartridge. It was able to accomodate about 9 or 10 knives which includes six steak knives and several large knives as well. Since we don't have a lot of knives out on the counter this worked well for us.
